March is Women’s History Month, which is typically a time for us to celebrate all that women have accomplished throughout history and press on for equality.
Angela Davis, Malala Yousafzai, Gloria Steinem, Coretta Scott King, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Ingrid Newkirk are just a few women pioneers who have fought for and achieved more equality. They’ve helped make it known that anyone who says someone “fights like a girl” is giving a compliment, because women can change the world.

Oppression and exploitation of any kind have no place in a just society.
No social justice issue stands alone, and the pursuit of equal rights for women must be intersectional if we want to see a real shift within society. SOS is here fighting (like girls) to end oppression, because women deserve equal rights, because animals—namely female animals who are forcibly impregnated and sexually assaulted for dairy—deserve autonomy over their own bodies, and because the planet won’t be habitable for much longer if we keep breeding and killing billions of animals. The desire for freedom and autonomy isn’t a human-specific trait. If you identify as a feminist, you should fight for equality for all—no matter the species.
