Break the System That Perpetuates Rape and Exploitation

The dairy industry systematically exploits female bodies and then destroys them once they’re no longer profitable. It forcibly inseminates them, takes their babies away, milks them, and slaughters them. If we want justice, we can’t accept oppression—even if the victims are members of a different species.

Not only does dairy disrespect females, it also disregards BIPOC, who are largely lactose intolerant. When companies like Starbucks make dairy the default, they’re perpetuating exclusion and systemic injustice. No matter who you are, dairy can increase your risk of suffering from heart disease, cancer, and strokes—and the industry is devastating the environment. It’s time to get healthy and align our habits with our desire for equality and sustainability.

First, sign the petition telling Starbucks to drop the vegan milk surcharge. The company claims to care about the environment and equality—but it still charges up to 80 cents more for consumers to choose soy, almond, coconut, or oat milk.

Sign the Petition!

Then, go further. Use our Starbucks action kit to make a statement that will reach Starbucks executives and inform customers that consuming dairy doesn’t align with progressive values and is unhealthy, unsustainable, and unethical. From the forced insemination of female animals to the exploitation of low-income communities to the damage to our environment, the use of cow’s milk is systemic and needs to be dismantled.
