Speciesism is the misguided belief that one species is more important than another.

Every five seconds, 1,330 animals are killed for food in the U.S. alone. Countless others cower in fear in laboratories, pace back and forth or turn in circles in cramped cages or tanks, or face a violent, bloody death on a fur farm. Every second, animals—who are no different from us in the ways that matter the most—are being pulled away from their families, confined to barren cages all alone, gunned down, sexually assaulted, skinned alive, or beaten to death. The time for animal liberation is now—and the revolt against human supremacy will be led by you!

Join Students Opposing Speciesism as we rise up and demand empathy for everyone—regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, or species.
